STRATEGY SESSION
SENIOR THINKING, IN ONE FOCUSED SESSION.
A working session that turns a rough ambition into a clear communications direction you can act on immediately.

What This Is
A strategy session is a concentrated block of senior counsel: we take what you are trying to achieve, interrogate the story behind it, and agree the direction, the audiences and the media approach that will get you there.
It is designed for moments where you do not need a retainer yet — a launch you are weighing up, a raise on the horizon, a repositioning, a market entry — but you do need a senior view before committing budget.
You leave with a written summary: the narrative, the priority audiences and markets, the media approach, the risks worth planning for, and a sequence of work in the order it should happen.
Who I Work With
Founders and senior teams making a decision about direction: first-time PR investment, a shift in positioning, or a moment where the internal team is capable but wants senior perspective before it commits.
How I Work
Before the session I review what you already have. In the session we work through the story, the audiences and the market context together, rather than presenting at you.
Where the session identifies a specific need, it points to a defined route: funding round PR ahead of a raise, earned media to build authority, or crisis communications planning where the risk profile warrants it.
If it turns out the real question is what your current activity is achieving, a PR audit is the better starting point. Either way, the recommendations are written to be usable whether you work with me afterwards or not — you can read more about my approach on the about page.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How long is a strategy session?
- The session itself is typically half a day, with preparation before and a written summary afterwards.
- Who should be in the room?
- Whoever makes the decisions — usually the founder or the marketing lead, plus anyone who will own delivery internally.
- Is this the same as a PR audit?
- No. A PR audit assesses what you already have. A strategy session sets the direction for what comes next.
- Do I need to commit to ongoing work afterwards?
- No. Many clients take the direction and run it internally. Others move into a project or retainer once the sequence is clear.
- Can we do it remotely?
- Yes. Sessions run in person or remotely, which is how most work across the US, Canada and ANZ happens.
- What if we are pre-launch?
- That is often the best time. Support frequently begins well before launch, particularly around funding rounds and spokesperson preparation.
